March Meeting Announcement
Our next membership meeting will take place on March 16th starting at 7PM.
This month’s meeting will feature CHRIS MELENA | SENIOR REGIONAL SALES MANAGER, GREAT LAKES | NAVICO GROUP.
He’ll be talking primarily about Navico’s full lineup of screens: HDS, Elite FS, Eagle Eye 9, Recon Trolling Motors and Active Target 2XL. If you are thinking about upgrading your old electronics, getting ready to rig a new boat or just want to get more out of the gear you’re using now, you don’t want to miss this presentation!
Chris has been in the marine electronics business for over 22 years and worked in boat sales prior to that. He’s pretty much seen and done it all. You definitely don’t want to miss this one!
And, as always, the kitchen will be offering hot dogs and snacks and our raffle tables will be full. If you’ve been thinking about joining the DWF, come on by for a chance to see what you’ve been missing!
THE DWF’S ANNUAL DUES INCREASED BY $5.00 EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1ST. Our annual dues went up by $5.00 on New Year’s Day. That means a single membership will now be $25.00 per year and a family membership will be $35.00 per year.
The Downriver Walleye Federation has existed for over thirty years without any increase in dues, but things have finally caught up to us. Most of our ageing equipment is now in desperate need of repair or replacement (especially our event trailer) and inflation has had a big impact on our operating expenses (hall rentals, special event costs etc.). So please try and view this relatively small increase as an investment in our great club.
