Monthly Meeting Announcements
Our next Meeting will take place on May 18th at 7pm at the Gibraltar Community Center.
Our featured speaker will be club member Dan Boileau. Dan is our Club Webmaster and Editor of our Club Newsletter, the “Eyecatcher.”
Dan has been using personal computers extensively for both work and play for over forty years and he’ll be sharing that experience in an interactive presentation on how to get more out of the DWF Website, the Eyecatcher and the internet in general. We may also touch briefly on smartphones and tablets.
If you have questions or would like to see a demonstration on a particular topic, this could be a great opportunity to address it. Be sure to bring your list of questions and topics.
If you’re tired of asking your kids and grandkids how to do this stuff, this will be a timely and worthwhile presentation!
THE DWF’S ANNUAL DUES INCREASED BY $5.00 EFFECTIVE JANUARY 1ST. Our annual dues went up by $5.00 on New Year’s Day. That means a single membership will now be $25.00 per year and a family membership will be $35.00 per year.
The Downriver Walleye Federation has existed for over thirty years without any increase in dues, but things have finally caught up to us. Most of our ageing equipment is now in desperate need of repair or replacement (especially our event trailer) and inflation has had a big impact on our operating expenses (hall rentals, special event costs etc.). So please try and view this relatively small increase as an investment in our great club.
